Hey Paola, it’s a T-flap sound. The tongue just flaps against the roof of the mouth briefly instead of making the /d/ or /t/ sounds.

Hey mate, that symbol that looks like an r represents the T-flap, which is the sound that a T or D turns into when it’s got a vowel on both sides of it.
